July Catch up :)

I have been busy with lots of digital scrapbooking and I’d love to show off what I’ve been working on!

I have entered this layout in the monthly contest at www.penscrappers.com

The layout artist with the most votes at the end of the month wins a Wacom Bamboo Craft, software package, iStock photo credits and subscription to Paper Creations Magazine!  I would really love to win this, so if you haven’t already, I would really appreciate if you could throw a VOTE my way!

I’ve been working with some great Brownie Scraps kits too!

The July Mega Collab is a fabulous one this month, you do not want to miss out!

Remember, in the month of July you can get this beautiful Mega Kit FREE with a $10 purchase!  Need some shopping suggestions?  Here are a couple of my favorites this month!

This one was hard for me to do, but I love the way it turned out and I can totally see myself doing another page and getting more detailed with the emotional side of it.

The first week of July was CT Appreciation Week and more than 100 designers got together to celebrate their teams.  The mega kit they put together for us was amazing!

It was a week filled with contests, games and fun and I got a couple of layouts done that I love!

Ok and last but not least… lol.  I am participating in The Iron Scrapper contest at Scrap Orchard.  They have got some amazing prizes - grand prize is an iPad and $100 at the Scrap Orchard Market!  The fun part is that it’s not an elimination challenge, its raffle style with lots of fun opportunities to earn points!  My week 1 layout might just be one of my favorite pages!  I worked for a long time to get the shadows just right and I loved working with those cute folded clouds!  And isn’t my nephew just one of the cutest babies you’ve ever seen?

Ok that’s it for now!  I hope to be back real soon with some more hybrid goodies to show off! :)

Ramona’s back!

Oh my goodness, my poor blog is so neglected!  I sure hope you’ve heard the news by now, but Ramona the Pest is back at Brownie Scraps! Her store is filling up fast with some amazing kits and collections!  I absolutely love that with the release of each new kit, Ramona has a full collection which includes an alpha, word art and template set!

Check out some of the goodies I’ve been able to work with this month:

Check out the rest of her store HERE and check back on Friday for a new release that I am super excited about!

I am taking part in a really fun challenge at Ginger Scraps -  Scrapping Survivor!  It is 5 weeks of scrapping challenges, immunity games and amazing prizes for the Sole Survivor!

Here’s my layouts so far: (all linked for credits)

safari-1

Use a jungle print paper, a monkey, a tiki torch and the word “safari”

AZ-sunset

Scrap a sunset of home using only the colors in the sunset photo.

dr-pepper

Scrap the food we miss the most while on this long safari, must include journaling.

This week’s challenge is all about camouflage.  The largest photo must be blended into the background, use 3 camouflage papers and use the word camouflage.

I am working on this one now, but didn’t have any camo papers.  So, I made my own and thought I’d share them!  Hopefully they will come in handy for my fellow Survivor contestants and anyone needing to blend in :)

Challenge 3 – Use a photo with selective coloring, journal at least 20 words and use a date element.  I totally love this page!firefighter

Challenge 4 – Create an ATC (Artist Trading Card) about our love and another about our partner.

Challenge 5 – Use at least 6 items from a provided list and include chocolate!

Challenge 6 -  This one was very specific, almost like a speed scrap, this one was also a roadblock, meaning only 1 partner completes it!

Challenge 7 – Create a Bucket List of 50 things to do before we die!

This page was chosen as Layout of the Day today at Brownie Scraps :)

I am working on Challenge 8 this weekend, then only 4 more challenges to go!  At the end, all the teams that complete every challenge on time go into a drawing for some huge awesome prizes!

February Gotta Pixel Goodness!

It’s the end of the month, so that means it’s time for me to show off the layouts I’ve been making over at Gotta Pixel!

The first kit I picked up was Ties That Bind, a collab by Creations by Rachael and Late Night Scraps.

This kit is great for heritage photos and genealogy projects, with a family tree, relationship markers and vintage elements with enough bright colors and whimsy for beautiful everyday layouts too!

This first page I made with it was for Laura’s Simply Sketchy Challenge:Ties-That-Bind1-web

This page was for Brenda’s February Elements Challenge - hearts! :)Ties-That-Bind-2

The second kit I picked up this month at Gotta Pixel were the Romance Paper Pack and Element Pack by Shawnery Mathis.

I love the soft colors that are perfect for Valentines and so much more!

This page was for the first Challenge in ADSR Season 5 - to scraplift a page of our partner, about our partner!

I made this page for Alicia’s February Scraplift Challenge:Romance-2

My time on the GP site CT has come up for renewal and although they were kind enough to ask me to stay on, I have decided that the next 6 months are going to be crazy stressful enough and that I will be better off to take as much off my plate as I can for now.  I am very sad to go, but for once I am trying not to over-commit myself, imagine that…

Christmas Carol

Looking for a fun whimsical Christmas kit? Christmas Carol by Marta van Eck has the perfect kit for you!

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant when I first downloaded this kit, having never done anything in the fantasy/whimsical style. But my pages came together so quickly I couldn't believe it! I did one page in a more traditional style, so I hope you can see just how versatile this kit is!

Happy scrapping!
